Modelmaking & Prototyping
From one-off presentation models and product prototypes to packaging mock-ups and precision-machined components, Caqtus provides industrial modelmaking and prototyping services, combining traditional modelmaking skills with 3D CAD, CNC machining and high-quality finishing.

01
Aperol Bottle Models
CNC machined directly from acrylic using client-supplied data, then tinted to accurately match the real product, with capsules spray-painted to pantone reference

02
Baileys Ice Bucket
Modelled in 3D from client-supplied sketches, with individual components CNC machined, finished and spray-painted. Graphics were applied and the metallic feet vacuum metalised.

03
Beer Glasses
Produced from supplied 3D data, with master models used to create silicone moulds. PU castings were then fettled, lacquered and finished with applied graphics.

04
Colour Development Samples
A series of bottle models sprayed with varying concentrations of green-tinted lacquer to demonstrate colour options for client approval.

05
Acrylic Coffee Cup Models
A range of coffee cup models CNC machined directly from acrylic using client-supplied 3D data, then sanded and lacquered to achieve the final finish.

06
BoomBocs Portable Speaker
Carcass components CNC machined from model board and wrapped in textured vinyl. Badges and detail components were machined, spray-painted and assembled with real speaker parts to create a realistic block model.

07
Hollow Bottle Model
Modelled in 3D from client-supplied 2D drawings, with a master CNC machined to create silicone tooling for clear vacuum casting. The casting was finished, lacquered and tinted, with a turned wooden stopper.

08
Ornate Silver Bottle Stoppers
Modelled in 3D from client-supplied 2D drawings, CNC machined and carefully hand-finished before vacuum metallising to achieve a chrome-like finish.

09
Aluminium Speaker Components
CNC machined from client-supplied data and carefully finished to produce a brushed aluminium appearance.

10
3.5L Whisky Bottle Model
Large-format bottle model CNC machined from solid acrylic using client-supplied data, then sanded and tinted with inks and lacquer to accurately reproduce the colour of real whisky.

11
3D Glassware Visualisation
Photorealistic 3D glassware renderings created from supplied 2D drawings and design notes, with revisions used to visualise and refine a range of new concepts.

12
SharkNinja Pizza Oven
Full-size model CNC machined from low-density model board, then prepared and spray-painted to achieve the final finish.
